This foundational diversity course examines both the early and current scholarship influencing perceptions of diversity.  You will become familiar the key proponents, principles, and goals of major diversity ideologies — Multicultural Education, Critical Pedagogy, Critical Race Theory, and Diversity Pedagogy.  We will examine how issues such as language, ethnicity, and resistance to diversity affect access to equitable schooling opportunities.
